Privacy and Data

The calculators on this site run in your browser, your numbers are not sent to us, and this page sets out exactly what is and is not collected.

Your numbers stay in the browser

The calculators on Benguet Gold run in your browser, and the numbers you type into them are never sent to a server. Position size, margin and pip value are worked out on your own device, so a figure like the margin on a 0.10-lot gold position at the applicable cap stays with you.

This is a design choice, not a setting. There is no account to create, no form that submits your trading figures, and no database on our side holding what you calculated.

The rights you have over anything this site holds and how to exercise them

You have the right to ask what this site holds about you, to ask for a copy, to ask for correction, and to ask for deletion. In practice the answer will usually be that nothing identifying you is held, because the site has no account system. You can still make the request and receive a written confirmation. The request should name the pages you visited and the approximate date so the server log, if any, can be located.

You exercise those rights by writing to the contact address published on the site's contact page and stating the request plainly. No form, no ID upload, and no GCash or bank detail is needed. Because the site does not verify identity through accounts, it may ask for enough detail to locate a log entry, such as the date and the browser used, and nothing more. A deletion request is honoured for any log entry that can be located.

You also have the right to object to analytics and to block cookies without losing access. Blocking is done in your browser, and it takes effect immediately for future visits. If you believe a request has not been handled properly, you can raise it again through the same contact address and ask for the handling to be reviewed. The site does not charge a fee for any of these requests.

The cookies this site sets and the job each kind performs

This site sets two kinds of first-party cookies: a strictly necessary security cookie and a preference cookie. The security cookie helps distinguish a normal page request from automated abuse and carries no advertising identifier. The preference cookie remembers a display choice, such as whether you collapsed a calculator panel, so the page does not reset every visit. Neither cookie contains your name, your peso amounts, or any trading position information.

Third-party cookies may be set by embedded services and by broker sites you choose to visit after clicking a link. Embedded services, if present, are limited to anonymous traffic measurement and do not receive calculator inputs. Broker cookies are set on the broker's own domain after you leave this site and are governed by that broker's policy, not ours. We do not control those cookies and cannot read them.

You can block or delete every cookie this site sets through your browser settings without losing access to the calculators or the written guides. Blocking the security cookie may cause a small number of page requests to be challenged more often, but it will not lock you out. Clearing site data removes the preference cookie and resets the display choice. The site does not use cookies to build a cross-site advertising profile of you.

How long each item is kept and the single action that removes it

Server logs are kept for a short operational window and then deleted on a rolling basis; the exact number of days depends on the hosting provider's retention setting, which is reviewed rather than fixed in public. Aggregated traffic counts carry no identifier and are kept indefinitely because they cannot be tied back to a person. The preference cookie lives on your device until it expires or you clear site data, and clearing site data is the single action that removes it immediately.

Calculator inputs are never stored, so there is no retention period to state for them. They exist in the browser tab while the page is open and disappear when the tab is closed or the page is reloaded. No copy is written to our servers, so no deletion request is needed for calculator figures. This is the reason the site can say that peso amounts you test are not held anywhere by us.

Affiliate referral counts are held by the broker under the broker's retention schedule, not ours, and are aggregate rather than personal. If you want a referral record removed, the request goes to the broker because the record sits on the broker's systems. Deleting cookies in your browser stops future first-party tracking from this site but does not reach back into a broker's own records.

Cookies set by brokers

When you follow a link from this site to a broker, that broker sets its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control those cookies and cannot read them, and the broker's privacy notice, not this page, is the document that governs them.

If you want to limit them, use your browser's cookie controls or the broker's own settings. It is worth reading the broker's privacy notice alongside its terms before you open an account, especially where funding through GCash or bank transfer is involved.

Third parties that can see a request and what each one receives

The third parties that can see something about your visit are the hosting provider, any embedded analytics service, and the broker whose link you follow. The hosting provider processes the ordinary request log described above for security and uptime. An embedded analytics service, if loaded, receives an anonymised page-view signal and cannot see calculator inputs. The broker receives information only after you click through to its domain, and then under its own privacy terms.

FxPro is the broker referenced on this site, and the entity that serves the Philippines is the one whose terms apply to a Philippine reader. FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC, not by the SEC of the Philippines. That regulator caveat matters for privacy because it tells you which supervisory regime handles a complaint about the broker's own data handling. It does not make this site a regulated entity, and this site holds no client funds and no client data.

No third party receives your calculator inputs, your peso budget, or a list of pages you read here. There is no data broker, no advertising network, and no social plug-in on this site that receives a visitor identifier. If that ever changes, the change is announced under the policy-change section below before the new party is loaded.

Traffic counts and local storage

We keep only aggregate traffic counts, which tell us how many visits a page received and nothing about who made them. We do not build reader profiles and we do not sell data, because we do not hold the kind of data that would make that possible.

Local storage in your browser holds your own preferences, such as a setting you chose on a calculator, so the page behaves the way you left it. That storage sits on your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Affiliate links are marked and they never change the calculator output

Some outbound links to FxPro are affiliate links, which means the site may receive a referral payment if a reader opens an account after following one. That payment comes from the broker and never from the reader. It does not affect the reference price shown, the pip value, the margin example, or any formula on the site. A 0.10-lot gold position at the applicable leverage cap still illustrates about $85.50 margin whether you arrive through an affiliate link or type the broker's address directly.

Affiliate tracking works by placing an identifier in the outbound link so the broker can attribute a later sign-up to this site. The identifier is not your name and does not contain calculator inputs. It is read on the broker's domain after you click, not on this site. We do not receive a report that says you personally opened an account; we receive aggregate counts of referrals.

The editorial rule is that affiliate status never decides what a page says. Cost sections describe what a cost consists of and what it depends on, because no spread, commission, swap, or minimum deposit figure is asserted here as a number. Risk warnings appear on the same pages as affiliate links. If a broker's terms change, the page is corrected rather than left to flatter the link.

What Benguet Gold stores on its own servers and what it never keeps

The site stores nothing that identifies you as an individual on its own servers. There is no account system, no login, and no profile database holding your name, email, phone number, or home address. The only information that reaches our hosting is the ordinary server log created by any web request: the page requested, the time, a truncated IP address used for basic security and abuse checks, and the browser type. Those logs are not joined to any trading data, because the site never receives trading data in the first place.

The site does not store the numbers you type into calculators, the broker you came from, or the links you click after leaving. Calculator inputs are processed in the browser and are not transmitted to us. We do not keep a record of which funding method you use, how much you plan to deposit in pesos, or which instrument page you read. There is no customer relationship database, no mailing list built from visitors, and no remarketing audience assembled from calculator use.

What the site does store is limited to aggregated, non-identifying traffic counts and a small local-storage flag on your own device to remember a display preference. Those items are described in the sections below. Nothing on this page asks for a government ID, a GCash number, a bank account number, or a screenshot of a deposit. If a page ever appears to request those things, it is not part of Benguet Gold and should be closed.

FAQ

Common questions

What information does Benguet Gold collect when I read a page?

The site collects what a normal web server records, such as the pages you request and basic technical data from your browser, plus anything you type into the contact form. We do not ask for your broker login, your GCash details or your bank account number, and you should never send those to us.

Do I need to give my name or email to use the calculators?

No. The position size, pip value, margin, profit and pivot point calculators run without an account, and you do not need to submit a name or email to use them. Anything you enter stays in your browser session. The contact form is the only place we ask for details, and only so we can reply.

Does the site store my peso amounts or trade inputs?

The calculator inputs you type, such as lot size or a peso amount, are used to produce the result and are not kept as a profile of you. We do not build a record of your positions. If you want a figure kept, save it yourself, because the page does not retain your session for later.

Will my contact form message be shared with a broker?

No. A message sent to the desk stays with the desk and is not forwarded to FxPro or any other broker. If you choose to open an account through a link on the site, that relationship is between you and the broker, and their privacy notice, not ours, governs what they collect.

What happens to my data if I click an affiliate link?

Clicking a broker link may let the broker know a referral came from this site, typically through a cookie set by them. From that point the broker's own privacy notice applies to what they collect. We do not receive your account details, your deposits or your GCash and bank transfer records.
